Working freelance to help clients develop rich and vibrant products in the Stationery and Gift industries

I create lively and vibrant illustrations, rich in detail and full of abundant florals and unusual creatures

I have always been entranced by colour and pattern on household items. When I left the corporate world and discovered Surface Pattern Design, it was a revelation to discover that freelancers were an integral part of the product development process.

Following my degree, I worked in qualitative market research, after which I set up a business with my first husband, and grew it to over 50 staff. My role as Practice Director covered all departments, including HR, finance, productivity, and marketing. I gained an MBA with distinction while also running the business and raising a couple of children.

I now live part of the time on an island in Greece with my second husband, in an off-grid straw bale eco-house which we built ourselves. I have a nice little attic studio and I am pouring my heart and soul into the illustration career I should have started much earlier in life.

My corporate experience equips me to manage projects professionally. I enjoy a structured approach that establishes parameters at an early stage, and creates a healthy, interactive development process.

I also like to have fun, and to incorporate unexpected and quirky elements into my designs to ensure they are distinctive and unusual.
